John White Alexander

This is the first episode of another story, I did my part, now it is up to Joelle Hatem to continue and bounce back the story to me. Good luck… time is ticking…. 1 week
Dear readers, your feedback and questions are more than welcome and so much appreciated. After all, what is better than a writer are his readers

  2. Hello there...
I am afraid I didn't quite like this story... there is something different that I can't seem to find the right words to describe. Is the difference in your style? I don't feel like the words are flowing like in the previous posts of "the Most Beautiful Smile".

By the way, why don't the interviewer and the writer rehearse the interview before making it? And why is this director so angry that he screams at the interviewer? If I was in the interviewer's shoes I would have left my job and begged for bread in the streets (or found myself a better, more rewarding work, with better, more grateful people).
and the first statement : "الحياة رقعة شطرنج نتحدى عليها الموت" "life is chessboard on which we challenge death.: Well... it is a nice statement, but come on, do you actually believe that we live to challenge death? And how do we challenge death ? by doing some crazy adventures? by going extreme in everything? by writing books?
By the way, which radio station (sorry... which Lebanese radio station, to me more accurate) would do an interview with a writer? Which Lebanese radio station would expect people to listen to someone talking about philosophy, death or even life?
Why does this writer confirm the allegations of people who think that he is crazy? Why would they think he is crazy in the first place? and what is wrong with this interviewer, does he know anything about planning ahead and organizing his questions and his thoughts?
I like your descriptions a lot. I also like the comparisons you make " صامت كمستودع نفايات" and the words you use "سقط عن أفكاره الشاهقة " and "يعوم في بحر من ضياع" .
One more thing, so how come all the people in this story, need to prove themselves to others? How come they all have low selfesteem? and they seem to have a really bad long day ?
    Thank you :)
( Sorry for the negative feedback. I will be looking forward for the next post. I hope it won't take too long :) Have a great day :)
    Zeina :)

it means a lot to me ur feedback. All i can say is i wish u liked the post.

By the way, why don't the interviewer and the writer rehearse the interview before making it?
    - this will be another story :) ma heik

And why is this director so angry that he screams at the interviewer? If I was in the interviewer's shoes I would have left my job and begged for bread in the streets (or found myself a better, more rewarding work, with better, more grateful people).
    - come on don't tell me u never met with people like the interviewer? to me i know plenty and some are my closest friends.

    - Yes. we challenge death by Living !!!! (and yes writing is an option.

By the way, which radio station (sorry... which Lebanese radio station, to me more accurate) would do an interview with a writer?
    - believe me u don't want to know, u don't want to listen to those moron interviewers asking stupid questions to writers (artists) ...

Why does this writer confirm the allegations of people who think that he is crazy?
    - he is, we call every one who is not like us crazy (answers the "writer" who is not me)

One more thing, so how come all the people in this story, need to prove themselves to others?
    - definition of every human being. proving itself

How come they all have low selfesteem? and they seem to have a really bad long day ?
    - Come one where do u live ??? in Plato's republic?

    Sorry for the negative feedback.
-so much appreciated nearly as much as ur positive feedbacks (nearly )

  6. Oh, wow! This is so not what I expected. I didn't know what to expect actually. I thought it was just going to be a paragraph or two, and then I would pick up where you left off. You wrote one mean short story. *Panics* I better get to thinking and writing part two now.

  9. I almost forgot that people's real age is best measured by the experiences they've lived. You've just reminded me of that by this sentence ........
As for the whole post, the style and as always i could watch the interview through your words,as for the content I'd rather wait for the next episode since it will better define whether this one is good or bad... So waiting for Joelle I guess.(Will the next episode be posted on your blog? )

  11. I like how the writer is manipulating what is around him, and the state he puts the director and the interviewer in, yet he remains calm...he messes the day then saves the day....and then that smile again that comes back once more, with different aspect and for different reasons
these are starting to seem like andy warhol art, same character changed over and over by the tone of colors in use
I m still looking for that secret thread that will hold everything together and ....PS: it s very very hard to wait for more

  13. Hello Pascal :)
Thank you very much for your comments on my questions.
I liked your post, but it wasn't similar to your previous posts.

"By the way, why don't the interviewer and the writer rehearse the interview before making it?
    - this will be another story :) ma heik"
    You are right :)
I will be waiting for that story on the interviewer and the writer rehearsing :)

"And why is this director so angry that he screams at the interviewer? If I was in the interviewer's shoes I would have left my job and begged for bread in the streets (or found myself a better, more rewarding work, with better, more grateful people).
    - come on don't tell me u never met with people like the interviewer? to me i know plenty and some are my closest friends."
There are plenty of people in the world, some are organized, some aren't. I guess it is up to us to choose with whom we work, or at least decide to some extend for how long we want to work with, interact and live with, right? My regards to your organized and unorganized friends :) And an advice, to all the employees who are abused or yelled at by their bosses: "YOU DON'T NEED THAT. Life is too short to spend it angry, sad or abused. Move on. Stand on your own two feet.Find something better."

"Why does this writer confirm the allegations of people who think that he is crazy?
    - he is, we call every one who is not like us crazy (answers the "writer" who is not me)"
I guess we are all crazy according to this definition. Einstein, Galileo, Leonardo Da Vinci, ... will all be crazy. I guess each one of us is unique and therefore each one of us is different, and this makes us all crazy!!!

"How come they all have low selfesteem? and they seem to have a really bad long day ?
    - Come one where do u live ??? in Plato's republic?"
In Plato's republic, people have confidence in themselves? umm.... I don't know where I live. I am sure I am on earth somewhere :)

I will be waiting for the future posts :)
Joelle, I will be looking forward for your post and for the continuation of the story :)
Have a great day everybody :)
